Change is about challenging the inequities in society, wherever they exist. For GPA, that means ensuring we are challenging biases every day and ensuring diversity is at the heart of our growth. That’s why we set ourselves an initial target of having 40% of our managerial positions filled by women. We were thrilled to reach that figure in 2021, and are now focused on exceeding that target.
It’s one thing to develop packaging solutions that are safe for the environment, but what about the safety of our team? At GPA we ensure the appropriate training is provided for everyone who needs it, and that we use the latest state-of-the-art equipment to combat any inefficiencies, while also ensuring that on-site first aiders are active in each one of our sites.
We’re a company that embeds our ethical principles into all our operations. Our code of conduct discusses the principles, policies, and regulations to assist us on our sustainability journey. We are also a member of the UN Global Compact, whose ten principles are integrated into our code of conduct. This aids us in meeting the fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
