About the project
We teamed up with famed Speyside distillery The Singleton to manufacture some premium packs for the 21-Year-Old and 25-Year-Old single malts from their Trinity Cask Harmony release.
These special whiskies have undergone maturation in three different casks – European oak, refill ex-bourbon and American oak – and been aged for longer than two decades to achieve an exceptional flavour profile.
The project outcome
For both cases our team used almost identical construction and materials. The structure is rigid board and has an outer wrap of premium, core-dyed teal paper. The front flap is embellished with gold and white foil, and was constructed with paper hinges allowing it to wrap around the side of the pack. On the side, a split line offers a glimpse at the wood veneer frame within.
Wrapping around the entire pack are contour lines, while the reverse holds a white foil logo and text telling the story of Trinity Cask Harmony release. The flap is held closed with a hidden magnet but can be smoothly pulled open using a discreet ribbon attachment.
Inside, the whisky is held securely between two fitments, which have been wrapped in teal paper. Bordering the whisky is a wood veneer frame with carefully mitred corners. On one side, the frame is etched with the words “Trinity Cask Harmony”.
The pack is designed so that the front flap can fold backwards and be secured in place with hidden magnets, leaving the case open to display the bottle.
Slight differences between the two packs include the colour of the contour lines – gold for the 25-Year-Old, a contrasting lighter blue and gold the 21-Year-Old – as well as the colour of the ribbon attachment. A last, luxury detail is that for the 25-Year-Old, the etched text on the wooden frame is infilled with gold.
